1957 International Trade Established one of the first senior college programs in international trade; the founding purpose was to nurture professionals in international trade and to equip students with the basic knowledge in modern international trade and skills so as to promote international trade
1963 International Trade Launched the Evening Program
1967 International Trade Launched the five-year college program
1990 International Trade
admitting three classes of day- division students
Upgraded to Ming Chuan College of Management
1992 International Trade Launched the Second Division; Class A was added to the department
1996 International Trade Launched the Associate degree program for working students
1996 International Trade Established the Graduate Institute of International Business Management
1997 International Trade Upgraded to Ming Chuan University
2001 Name changed to Department of International Business. Merged graduate Institute of International Business Management into the Department as the masters’ program in international business
2001 Department of International Business Terminated the two-year technical program; launched the two-year professional program.
2003 Department of International Business Launched the EMBA program
2004 Department of International Business Ended the Second Division program(class A)
2008 Department of International Business Obtained accreditation both undergraduate and graduate programs from Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council
2010 Department of International Business 2010 MCU obtained accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
2011 Department of International Business Ended the two-year professional program
2015 Department of International Business Launched the International Business and Trade Master’s Program
2015 Department of International Business Obtained accreditation both undergraduate and graduate programs from Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council
